On the Way Home

14 Nov

We left Sentosa island at noon and got to the checkpoint in half an hour. The drive back was not as smooth as four days ago. Wow! Was it really four days ago that we were headed to Singapore? And now we are going home.

Pockets of rainfall made the drive not as leisurely. Like I had mentioned earlier, year end travel within this region will have one encounter rain and gloomy skies.

But I am not complaining, we are headed home. However, traffic jam along the way is prolonging the situation…

Gloomy Skies Again

14 Nov

I woke up to gloomy skies again. Year end travel to Asian cities are usually met with gloomy skies, kind of like our version of winter with snowing conditions. When I was in Thailand last week, we also had rain in Kirimaya during our golf game, playing under a drizzle with the umbrella out and raincoats worn.

We decided to take our time before we say goodbye to Sentosa and Singapore.

It has been a good trip and we look forward to going home to cuddle M1 and M2 (and Roo).

A Happy Occasion

14 Nov

Traffic on the small island state was a challenge when one is rushed for time. Luckily we made it on time. The solemnization ceremony took place at Four Seasons Singapore. The bride looked very pretty and the groom, dashing.

It was a sweet moment when they exchanged vows. I choked and could feel tears coming along. Oh no… Blinking hard, I managed to suppress it. Nobody was sniffling or crying and I didn’t want to be the only one!

Dinner that followed was a jovial time. Needless to say, it was a happy occasion.

Congratulations cousin, so happy for you and to your new hubby, welcome to the family.
