Double Celebration

Now that M2 is back safely at home with us, we plan to have a double celebration party with a garden barbecue tomorrow. Firstly, to mark her return and secondly, to celebrate her birthday, which falls on Wednesday.

However, the skies and weather have other ideas to thwart our plans. It has been raining a lot, unusual during this time of the year. Even today, it rained this morning and looking very gloomy. And there is a forty percent chance of rain tomorrow as well.

How are we going to have a garden party with such unaccommodating weather? We’ll have to cross our fingers and hope Mother Nature will be kind for a lovely double celebration.

The Rainy Season is Here

The rainy season is here since November, and just about every other day, it would rain, thwarting plans for golf games especially. But rain or shine, games are on every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday for me. Occasionally, hubby joins in on a weekday game.

Last week, we decided to walk 18-holes instead of taking the buggy for a change. And it rained, a spoiler to the outing. But we were all die-hard golfers and played on in the drizzling condition. Three of us carried our bags, and one used the golf trolley.

My golf bag umbrella bought on my 2012 trip to the US came in handy. It shielded my clubs from the rain while my regular umbrella protected me. Thankfully, after three holes, the rain let up, and the die-hard golfers in us managed to complete 18-holes.

It was a wet morning but an enjoyable one

Rain or More Rain

Everyday’s prayer for sunshine has failed. It is Day 3 of our time in Krabi and this morning, upon opening the door, the sounds of rainfall is much louder and stronger. Hmm… we may have to reconsider the plans to Hong Island as it isn’t a rain or shine situation but a rain or more rain one.

Looking upwards at the sky, there does not seem to be a break in the dull grey clouds. Dare we hope for a ray of light and some sunshine? Thankfully the girls are taking the situation in stride. Hubby is glad to just not do anything. As for me, well, I am only disappointed that my uneven golf tan lines remain uneven.
